A game as a cover letter for Mind Candy
Since I was just a kid, playing in my old ZX Spectrum, that I had a dream of becoming a professional game developer. That’s something that was difficult to become in Portugal, but I still learned a lot making games in Pascal using Assembly to make them fast.
Now that I’m 37 and moved to London, I finally tried to become what I always wanted. My first try was to become a developer for Mind Candy, a cool company that creates these lovely characters called Moshi Monsters.
Since my CV isn’t that game oriented, I thought a cool cover letter would make them, at least, interview me.
That didn’t happen. I was never contacted after I sent this cover letter. Maybe they have too many applications of maybe my CV wasn’t good enough.Since then I got a job in another cool company called Plumbee and I’m starting on the 4th of August! Exciting times!
But it was still a great experience, and I think it will become a cool kind of fan art!
