The magic of motion detection

While searching for a new professional life and some more creative ways of making a living with computers than insurance applications, i enrolled on a course of digital art and games. 

One of the thing i enjoy most on new media technology and art is interfacing people with art by means of natural interaction, like movement.

Many of you already tried the PlayStation Eye Toy. It’s one of the most fun ideas I’ve seen for gaming consoles. You have a web camera connected to the console, in order to give “eyes” to the games. The game can see you and capture your movement, and gives you the ability to interact with virtual objects and characters.

In the course I’m taking web camera’s motion tracking is one of the subjects and below you can see some of the work I’ve done.
